This is the step by step making of my E-wallpaper of FOM MMU open day.
- Step 1: Firstly I open a new file . I choose International paper with A4 size and the background contents is background color. I use paint bucket tool to fill the background color and I choose Pantone 291 C color similar to soft blue color.
- Step 2: Second, I choose a rainbow picture from my raw material folder that I get in from google search. I label the layer as Rainbow 1.
- Step 3: Then, I duplicate Rainbow 1 layer label the layer as Rainbow 2. I go to edit then transform the Rainbow 2 with rotate 90 CCW and put the Rainbow 2 in the suitable position.
- Step 4: Then, I select a image of FOM building from my raw material folder. I label the layer as Building. I use magnetic lasso tool to crop the picture that I want. I use eraser to erase the unclean part that already crop. I add some effect on the image that are drop shadow and outer glow. I adjust the curve to make the image brighter. Then I also adjust the level to become darker.
- Step 5: I drag the Building to the poster that I did. And then I adjust the the Building in suitable position.
- Step 6: I choose the ellipse tool on the tool bar. And make a oval shape in the poster. Then I choose a match color with the background. I also insert some effect on in with drop shadow and bevel and emboss effect. I label the layer as red box.
- Step 7: After that, I choose mascot to insert in my poster. Before that, I use magnetic lasso tool to crop the picture that I want. Then I use eraser to erase the unclean part that already crop.
- Step 8: I drag the mascot in the poster and place it beside the red box. I label the layer as MMU mascot. I add the outer glow effects on the MMU mascot image.
- Step 9: Then I press FILE > OPEN and choose the image I want. I choose MMU logo and put it on the above right corner on the poster. I label the layer as LOGO. I also add drop shadow, inner shadow, and bevel and emboss effects on the LOGO. I use horizontal type tool add Faculty of Management text. I label the layer as FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT. Then, I add another text, open day. I label it as OPEN DAY on the layer. I add another text about the date and day. All the text I apply same effects that are outer glow and drop shadow.
- Step 10: Lastly, I duplicate layer of rainbow and label the layer as Rainbow 3. Then I add the tm logo in the poster and label the layer as TM. It's done! I save the poster in .PSD and .JPEG file in original size. The file I save as 1111113846_wallpaper.
